Architects and Love : Architect Heroes and the Public Challenge

buy

Thirty-two architects from 15 countries, ranging in age from 22 to 95, have courageously responded to this challenge: to write about what love means to them.

Bravely and generously, they have opened themselves up, enabling this book to be useful and reach you. Some have approached the subject from a romantic and intense perspective, while others have adopted a theoretical or poetic stance.

There were also those who chose to share some of the most important lessons they have learned throughout their lives.

Behind this book lies a genuine desire to pass on something beneficial and the hope that it will bring a positive change to your life.

The editor expresses gratitude to the authors of the published texts for their valuable and indispensable contributions, for revealing their emotions, and for taking the risks associated with public exposure.

How is the book organized?

As mentioned above, each author was asked to describe what love is/means to them.

The only rule (the worst one for architects) was that they could not shield themselves by associating love with architecture.

They were also asked to submit an image or photograph that symbolised the feeling to them; it could have something to do with the text or not.

Finally, they were asked for a photograph of themselves as an adult and another one as a child or a baby.

Designer? We would love to receive your text.

Tell us, as honestly as possible, what Love means to you, but without writing about design :)

The architects couldn't write about architecture :)
